Bird shell
Bird clams are large, deep-water bivalves with well-developed foot muscles that can often leap and move from the seabed, hence the name bird clams, commonly known as "bird clams". Most of them are warm water species, and there are two common types in the Yellow and Bohai Seas: the sliding top thin shell bird clam and the California flat bird clam. The growth rate is very fast, and it takes about one year to grow to a shell length of 7 centimeters.
